kick ass day

For the first time in a long time there were no significant inconveniences today.
I know it will not last. I am savoring the moment.

First good thing. I finally broke down and bought a wireless card for the laptop.
It had one initially but I yanked it for use in the G5. So now I can enjoy the freedom of a laptop and wireless. yay!

Second good thing. I got my iPod shuffle today as well. I was going to get a 20GB iPod. Robert persuaded me to consider the shuffle. After we discussed the pros and cons I went with the shuffle. It is a little easier to deal with while doing yard work and exercise. I am not saying that I will not get a full size iPod in the future.

I put in another window today. I removed the old one, framed, and installed the new one in less than 2 hours. that's a record. I suspect that I managed to complete it quickly because I wanted to play with my new toy. :-)

In other news, Satellite internet is finally available at a reasonable price around here. So I ordered it. I cannot stand dial-up anymore. It truly sucks ass. I should have it in about 1-2 weeks. yay!

I took an enjoyable walk before dinner. Of course I took the shuffle! The neighbor's dog decided to walk with me. Big black Lab. very sweet dog. I think he spends more time on my front porch than on his own. I don't mind. It's like having a dog without having the responsibility. Plus he keeps the vermin away.

To top it all off... I had shrimp scampi with linguini for dinner. Delicious.
